General Information about Marmaris

Marmaris which attracts thousands of visitors each year was originally known as Physkos back in the 6th century can be found along Turkey's South West Coast. Marmaris which is home to approximately 28,000 residents is closely neighboured by Dalaman and Fethiye. This popular port city also belongs to the province of Mugla and is well known for its beautiful beaches.

Besides from relaxing on one of Marmaris many beaches there are many other activities to keep you occupied while you are here. Marmaris is well known for its popular shopping district and there are many bargains to be had. The night life here is another major attraction and you are sure not to be disappointed. Getting to Marmaris is simple with regular flights arriving at the nearby Dalaman Airport with regular buses travelling between the two city's.
