Ankara which is Turkey's second largest city and capital with a population of approximately 4 million. Originally known as Angora, Ankara has been inhabited since as far back as the 10th century. The Ankara Citadel is also a popular site to visit and is also the oldest is the ideal place to view some of Ankara's historical architecture.
