This 3-star hotel enjoys an exceptional location directly on Lake Murten, surrounded by an unspoiled natural landscape and only a 10-minute walk from the small historical town of Murten.

All rooms are situated directly by the lake. The hotel offers a large lake terrace, a romantic interior courtyard, a barbecue room, an a la carte restaurant and a banquet room with lake view. For banquets, the room seats up to 120 people, for seminars, it seats up to 30 people.

The hotel is situated below the small Zähringer town of Murten, in a very quiet area directly by the lake.

Our chef, Peter Moss, will spoil you with delicious fish dishes and seasonal specialties. His contemporary light cuisine is well known even across the borders of the region.

On our wine card you will find wines from the nearby region of the Vully as well as different first-class national and international wines.

We offer 22 en suite rooms on a quiet location near Lake Murten. All rooms are equipped with all common facilities including a balcony or terrace. Guests can use the spacious lawn and hotel pier which leads to the lake.

Murten is located in the western part of Switzerland, at the border of the German- and French-speaking regions.

Location / Directions

Murten is situated on the A1 (Bern – Lausanne). Leave the motorway at the exit “Murten” and follow the signs for 2km “Murten/Murten-Ost”. At the first roundabout (BP gas station) take right. At the second roundabout drive to your right again towards “Muntelier”. After approx. 200m you will reach our village street, turn left, you will find us after 50m on the right handside of the street.
