Gothenburg which is the second largest city in Sweden is situated along the west coast of Sweden between Copenhagen and Norway's capital of Oslo. Gothenburg is home to over 489,790 people in the municipality alone while in the urban area of Gothenburg there is a population of over 510,500 people.

The architecture of this historical city dates back to the 18th century with a many buildings having the appearance of the Classical era. One of Gothenburgs most notable buildings is the City Museum of Gothenburg. Situated along the city's canal this historical building dates back to 1861 and features historical exhibitions from Gothenburg and West Sweden, to memorabilia from the Viking Age.

One of Gothenburg's most popular attractions is the Liseberg theme park which was established back in 1923. In fact Liseberg is so popular that it was selected by Forbes Magazine in 2005 in the top ten amusement parks in the world.

There is plenty to see and do while you are here from spending the night at the Gothenburg Opera house to touring through the Goteborg Botanical Gardens to exploring through some of the city's many museums and art gallery's.
