Found within Catalonia and ideally located along the Spanish Mediterranean coastline is where you will find Costa Brava. Costa Brava is one of Spain's most visited coastal regions and is within easy reach of Barcelona, at a distance of just 100 kilometres.
There are four main cities within the region with the main city being Girona which is home to over 87,000 residents. One of the most exciting things to do while you are visiting Girona is walking along the city's ancient walls.
Also included found within Costa Brava is Malgrat de Mar, Tossa de Mar and Lloret de Mar. Lloret de Mar is the regions busiest holiday destination and boasts a popular party scene. Lloret de Mar is home to over 35,000 residents but during the peak holiday period this number can rise to over 200,000.
Travelling to Costa Brava is simple with regular flights landing at the Girona-Costa Brava Airport and you can travel between the city's via bus or car. Travelling to Girona via rail is also possible with regular trains arriving from Barcelona.
