General Information about Astorga
 Astorga which was officially founded by the Romans back in 14 BC can be found within the province of Leon in the north western parts of Spain. Astorga is located just 51 kilometres from the provinces capital city which is also known as Leon, with the ancient city of Oviedo being set at a distance of approximately 153 kilometres.
Home to a population of more than thirteen thousand residents Astorga is ideally located along the Tuerto river. One of Astorga's main attractions is the Episcopal Palace of Astorga. The Episcopal Palace of Astorga boasts a mixture of architecture such as Baroque and Gothic influences and is well worth the visit.
