Set between the Alps and the Mediterranean in central Slovenia, Ljubljana which means beloved is a pretty city to visit with many historical buildings. Ljubljana, which has been inhabited since 15 AD and is home to over 267,386 people. There are plenty of attractions to visit in Ljubljana ranging from museums, to castles to some charming bridges.

Given Ljubljana proximity to the Mediterranean and the Alps it is no surprise that these features of nature have had strong influences with the architecture of Ljubljana. Some of the most important features of Ljubljana is the Triple Bridge, the Ljubljana castle and Old Ljubljana.

Visiting Old Ljubljana is well worth the trip which is home to the city hall, many beautiful churches and old buildings and many interesting monuments. While you are here you will be able to stop for lunch in one of the many cafe's or restaurant's.

Some of the most popular museums are the Architecture Museum of Ljubljana, the National Museum, and the National Museum of Contemporary History. Tivoli Park is the ideal for strolling through and is a popular family destination.

There are a wide variety of activities to do while in Ljubljana ranging from themed openen air pool parties as Laguna Fun and Spa to a selection of current films at the Kolesej which is the city's main cinema multiplex.
