San Marino is a landlocked state in Northern Italy, and is one of the oldest republics still in existence in the world being founded in 301 AD. The capital city has the same name and has a population of 29600. Its terrain is mountainous but has a Mediterranean climate with warm summers and mild winters.

San Marino has three fortresses perched on the cliffs of Monte Titano, offering spectacular views over the Italian countryside and the Adriatic Sea. One of the best ways to see the countryside is by taking one of the many walking trails through the nature parks.

It is a re-enactment of how life used to be in San Marino, it is an event not to be missed.
