'Almond Box' used to be the name given to the Duke's Palace, known today as Hotel Albatroz. Built in 1873 by the Duque of Loule with the help of renowned architect, the Palace was the home of several families until 1963, when it became a hotel. The Hotel Albatroz has 39 rooms and 8 Suites. The Old Palace offers 4 rooms and 2 Suites. Most room has a magnificent view to the sea and all the rooms are decorated with elegance and simplicity providing the guests with a sophisticated and welcoming atmosphere. In the old Palace the rooms are smaller but full of light. Decorated in accordance with the period it was built, the colour blue is predominant thus giving the rooms an ambience of peace and tranquillity. The rooms situated in the new wing reveal the care and consideration that we proudly offer our guests. The sounds of the Ocean help to relax by offering moments of unforgettable calm. Spacious and comfortable suites are luxurious refuges of well being. They all have a magnificent view overlooking the bay of Cascais and were conceived to be perfect spaces where comfort and good taste are valued. The Hotel Albatroz has a panoramic Bar with a patio overlooking the Cascais bay where light meals are also served. From the Restaurant which has a privileged view over the beach, one can enjoy the jagged scenery of the Cascais and Estoril Coast. The Wine list is made up of the finest national suggestions. The gastronomic specialities are mainly fish and shellfish. The originality of our menu and recipes make our restaurant one of the most well frequented and sought after in the area. Guests at the Albatroz hotel and Albatroz Palace enjoy the following comforts: 2 outside pools with sea view and sun terraces, Laundry service, Garage and Valet Parking, 24h Room Service, Twice-daily housekeeping service, Complimentary shoe shinning service. Golf: The Albatroz has special agreements with Quinta da Marinha Oitavos Golf and Quinta da Marinha Golf course, only a short distance away. A reduced green fee and starting time can be arranged by the front desk. Equipment can be hired on site. Guests can also play at the Penha Longa, Belas, Aroeira, Peru or Estoril Golf Courses. Horseback riding at the Centro Hípico da Quinta da Marinha can be arranged. The Centre is a well known venue for show jumping and dressage events but also offers fully qualified instructors to teach all clients from beginners to veterans. They also offer magnificent out rides through the sand dunes and forests, not forgetting the mountain ride to Sintra, which has spectacular views. The Hotel Albatroz offers exceptional conditions for Banquets and Cocktails both in our reception rooms and our outside spaces. 7 Meeting Rooms, ideal for small select board meetings, presentations, small conferences and weddings. Capacity: from 6 to 100 people. All rooms have natural daylight. There is also a Business Centre.

Hotel Albatroz Cascais is located around 10 meters from the Cascais train station (Line Lisbon / Cascais). Start at Cais do Sodre Station in Lisbon and drop off at the last stop. The journey from Lisbon takes approx. 30 minutes and ends up in the Cascais train station – a 2 minute walk from the hotel.
