General Information about Rome

This ancient city is filled with many famous historical buildings as well as being the home of the Vatican and the Pope, and is often referred to as the Eternal City.

It would be impossible to see all of Rome in one visit but the most popular destination would have to be the Colosseum where you can wander through the amazing ruins and even stop to enjoy your lunch within this fascinating monument.

A trip to Rome is not complete with visiting the famous Spanish Steps or the Trevi Fountain. The Trevi Fountain which is found within the Quirinale district and is the most famous fountain in Rome. You will be sure to witness many people throwing coins into the fountain over their shoulders. But don't just watch be sure to join in as the famous legend is that you will return to Rome if you do.

While in Rome do not forget to stop into a local cafe and sample some of the cities finest espresso and traditional Italian food.
