Portofino

General Information about Portofino

Ideally located along the Italian Riviera within the region of Liguria is where you will find the beautiful fishing port of Portofino. Home to over five hundred residents, Portofino belongs to the province of Genoa and is just 35 kilometres away from Genoa which is the capital city of the province. Portofino is closely neighboured by Pisa at a distance of 150 kilometres while Milan is set at a distance of approximately 173 kilometres.

Portofino which was often described as the Port of the Dolphin is a great place to visit if your looking for relaxation. Walking around the town is the best way of getting around and once you have explored Portofino's famous Mediterranean port, be sure to visit the local castle known as Castello Brown. Dating back to the 16th century Castello Brown is now used as a museum. The most popular way of travelling to Portofino is via ferry with regular connections arriving from Genoa.
