Overview

The Youth Hostel San Frediano is located in the very heart of the old town. Its a beautiful building, recently restored and can host up to 140 people in comfortable rooms disposed on 3 floors. It also has a restaurant where breakfast and dinner are served, as well as garden with an amazing view to the ancient city walls.

During your stay, you can relax in one of our 4 large common rooms, watching tv or reading a book and enjoy the athmosphere of a peaceful place. Otherwise you can visit the town and its major interesting landmarks, which are just a short walk away.

Lucca is a perfect base for touring all around Tuscany, being at a short distance from Florence, Pisa, Viareggio and the coast, Siena and San Gimignano.

Please note, if you are not a Member of Hostelling International there is an extra charge of €3 per person per night. Once you have stayed 6 nights at a HI Hostel you become a HI member, and no extra charges apply for future stays.

From the train station we are only 500 meters away (15 minutes walk)
From outside the train stationit is also possible to reach us by Bus. Get the bus N°3.
