Cuneo

General Information about Cuneo

Home to over 55,000 residents the city of Cuneo in Italy was originally founded back in 1198. Found within the region of Piedmont, Cuneo is ideally located near the border of France and Monaco, in fact Cuneo is just over 100 kilometres away from Monte Carlo. Boasting some spectacular views of the Maritime Alps, Cuneo is set at an elevation of 1,752 feet.

Another notable feature is the Stura di Demonte which is a river that flows for 111 kilometres in north west Italy. There are a number of interesting sights to see while you are visiting Cuneo such as the Villa Oldofredi Tadini. The Villa Oldofredi Tadini is a watchtower that dates back to the 14th century. Cuneo is particularly well known for its famous chocolates with a rum based filling. The chocolates are called Cuneesi al Rhum and can be found easily in the city square of Galimbert's Place.
