General Information about Qaqortoq
Set in South Greenland Qaqortoq is home to just over three thousand people and is the most populated town in South Greenland. Qaqortoq which means The White One has been inhabited since as far back as 1775.
Be sure to visit the local museum which features many exhibitions from the Viking era as well as a variety of other historical memorabilia. You can also tour through the popular Culture House which is filled with many art exhibitions.
Not far from Qaqortoq is the region of Uunartoq which is worth visiting. Here you will be able to soak up the scenery of icebergs while you relax in one of the islands several hot spring pools. Another popular attraction of Qaqortoq is Greenland's only water fountain.
