General Information about Wertheim

Wertheim which is officially known as Wertheim am Main is thought to have been inhabited since around the 7th century and is located within the state of Baden-Wurttemberg. Home to more than twenty five thousand residents, the town of Wertheim am Main is ideally located along the rivers Main and Tauber. Wertheim is closely neighboured by Wurzburg at a distance of only 40 kilometres, while Frankfurt is located slightly further away at a distance of approximately 88 kilometres.

While you are visiting Wertheim be sure to spend some time at the towns most visited attraction which is the Burg Wertheim Castle. The Burg Wertheim castle features Gothic architecture and is ideally located along the river Main. There are many other historical buildings worth exploring through while you are visiting Wertheim as well as a number of museums such as the Glasmuseum.
