St Goar

General Information about St Goar

Historical Castle

St Goar is a little German town located in the Rhine Valley. St Goar which has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site is located along the left bank of the Rhine River. The town is well known for its wine and beer steins. There is also a castle overlooking the River Rhine known as Burg Rheinfels.

Another attraction is the Lorelei which is a rock that is associated with a number of myths. Lorelei is located along the Rhine River and is approximately 120 metres above the waterline. St Goar is a charming little town and if you are in the area it is worth stopping for a visit.
