Hanover has been inhabited since as far back as medieval times and features a wealth of monuments from the 14th to the 19th century architecture.
Found within the Royal Gardens of Herrenhausen is Europe's highest garden fountain which is situated within the middle of Neuveau Jardin. Neuveau Jardin is one of the most popular sections of the park and is well worth visiting. While you are still amongst nature be sure to visit Hanover's famous zoo with its numerous themes this zoo has it all. Themes range from Gorilla Mountain, Jungle Palace, Meyers Farm and Sambesi just to name a few.
Visiting Hanover would not be complete without visiting the Old Town where you will be able to view some historical sculptures, the popular Kreuz Church quarter as well as Ballhofeins which is the city's old theatre. There are other theatres worth visiting while you are here such as the Opera House, Theatre am Aegi which is very popular form shows and musicals.
Be sure to tour through one of Hanover's many museums and art gallery's with The Historic Museum featuring a great deal about the city's history. The most popular way of getting to Hanover is by train although you can fly into the Hanover / Langenhagen International Airport. |
