Mulhouse

General Information about Mulhouse

Mulhouse which been inhabited since well before the 12th century can be found in the Eastern parts of France. Mulhouse belongs to the Alsace region and is home to over 271,000 residents making it the second most populated city in the region. Mulhouse is a over 500 kilometres away from Paris but is just 220 kilometres away from Dijon and a mere 117 kilometres away from Zurich in Switzerland.

One of the most visited parts of Mulhouse is the Old Town which is where the city's popular market is located which is known as the Place de la Reunion. The architecture of Mulhouse dates back to medieval times but also features many buildings from the 18th century. Mulhouse is particularly famous for its auto mobiles and the Cité de l'Automobile museum is one of the city's most visited attractions with its selection of Bugatti motor vehicles.

You can either travel to Mulhouse via plane or train with the EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg International Airport being located just on French soil but owned by Switzerland and France.
