General Information about Levi

Levi is one of the most popular ski resorts in Finland and is located in the Kittila municipality of Lapland in the north of Finland. Levi features 48 skiing slopes, 26 skiing lifts and the only gondola lifts in Finland. Levi is predominantly a winter destination and is situated 170 kilometres from the Arctic Cirlce.

The slopes at Levi are sutiable for every level of skiier and also features a halfpipe, superpipe, snowpark, and children's slopes. Some of the most important activities in Levi include skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, snowmobile safaris, husky dog safaris, fishing, hiking and canoeing.

There are also many popular restaurants in Levi which serve local delicacies such as reindeer (poro), willow grouse (reikko) and several types of fish which are eaten smoked or fried and with smashed potatoes. Hamburgers, pizzas and kebabs are also commonl served in restaurants.
