General Information about Swindon
Located between Bristol and Oxford is where you will find the town of Swindon in South West England. Swindon belongs to the county of Wiltshire and is home to over 155,000 residents. Swindon has been put on the map many time in both the media and history. It was back in 1840 that Swindon was established as a site for the Great Western Railway.
In more recent times Swindon has been featured by the media such as the hit BBC television program The Office, which saw the merge of the Swindon branch with Slough. Other references have been in James Bond films as well as a number of popular novels.
