Preston which has been inhabited since 1086 and is located within North West England in the county of Lancashire. Boasting a population of over 132,000 residents Preston is closely neighboured by Blackburn at a distance of just 10 miles, while Blackpool and Southport are approximately 18 miles away and 36 miles away from Manchester. With neighbours like these there is no shortage of things to see and do while you are in the area.
Preston features a number of historical buildings that are worth visiting but without a doubt if is the Church of Staint Walburge that is the most visited attraction. Dating back to 1854, the Church of Saint Walburge is approximately 309 feet at its highest point and is of Gothic Revival architecture.
