General Information about Fowey
The charming seaside town of Fowey can be found within the region of South West England. Fowey which belongs to Cornwall county is home to approximately three thousand residents and is just 33 miles away from Falmouth, and just over 50 miles away from St Ives and Penzance. Ideally set along the River Fowey and is one of the reasons so many people visit the area. The River Fowey is well known for its excellent harbour and because of this attracts many keen yachting enthusiasts each year.
There are many interesting places worth exploring while you are visiting Fowey such as the Castle Dore and St Catherine's Castle which is in fact a small fort. Fowey's most well known beach is the Readymoney Cove and is one Fowey's most visited destinations.
