Bolton

General Information about Bolton

Known as a variety of different names in its time such as Bolton-le-Moors, the town of Bolton is set within the county of Greater Manchester. Located over two hundred miles away from London but under forty miles away from Liverpool and sixteen miles away from Manchester, Bolton is home to over 140,000 residents. Because of Bolton's large population, the city is currently the largest in the Metropolitan Borough of Bolton region.
