General Information about Vejle

Found on the Jutland Peninsula and neighboured by Horsens, Kolding and Odense is the historical city of Vejle. Vejle which is set along the Vejle River has been inhabited since the Bronze Age and is approximately two and a half hours away from Denmark's capital of Copenhagen.

While you are visiting Vejle be sure to ask for directions to the runic stones at Jelling. Near the two runic stones you will see the towns historic church that dates back to the 11th century. If you enjoy exploring through historic sites then a trip to Saint Nicholas' Church should not be missed. Dating back to the 13th century and well known as being the towns oldest building and offers many fascinating facts about history's past.
