Found on the island of Sjælland with is also known as Zealand is the historical town of Hillerod. Hillerod was originally inhabited back in the Middle Ages and belongs to the region of Hovedstaden. Home to over 46,000 residents, Hillerod boasts a variety of fascinating historical monuments, but it is the Frederiksborg Castle that put this charming town on the map.
