General Information about Esbjerg

Located on the western side of Jutland under two hours away from Silkeborg and three hours away from Copenhagen is the city of Esbjerg. Esbjerg has been inhabited since 1868 is set within the region of Syddanmark along Denmarks's North Sea Harbour. Esbjerg is home to over 114,000 residents which makes it Denmark's fifth most populated city.

There are many popular things to see and do while you are visiting Esbjerg and if you love nature and history then a trip to the Fisheries and Maritime Museum will not let you down. Featuring a memorial to lost fishermen as well as a popular aquarium with native fish. The Esbjerg Museum / West Jutland Amber Museum is another popular destination where you will be able to learn how amber came to exist today.

One of the prettiest places to visit while you are visiting Esbjerg is the Ho Bay with its beautiful scenery. Found near Marbæk Nature Park you can even stop for a bit to eat from the nearby restaurant.

Getting to Esbjerg is simple with regular flights landing at the Esbjerg Airport and the nearby Billund Airport. You can also get to Esbjerg via bus or train.
