Ideally situated along the Akrotiri Bay Limassol is Cyprus's second largest city and is fast becoming a popular tourist destination. Limassol is home to over 177,000 and has been inhabited since as far back as the 4th century. There are many attractions to see while you are visiting this historical city with the Medieval Castle being one of the most visited monuments.

The Medieval Castle today is a museum filled with memorabilia from 400 A.D to 1870 A.D as well as exhibitions from the 17th and 18th century. If you are a fan of museums then be sure not to forget to visit the Folk Art Museum and the Archaeological Museum.

While you are visiting Limassol be sure to visit the surrounding ancient towns of Curium or Kourion and Amathus. You will not have a minute to rest as you explore through these amazing ancient cities with their history filled ruins.

If you would like to get in touch with nature while still being within a built up area then the Public Garden is the ideal place to visit. The Public Garden features a small zoo that is home to monkeys, lions, tigers, ostriches, vultures, ostriches and pheasants.

If its shopping your interested in then visiting Anexartisias street and Ayios Andreas Street should not be missed. Most of the locals at Limassol do speak English so finding your way around should be easy.
