Sibenik

General Information about Sibenik

Sibenik which has been inhabited since 1066 and home to over 51,000 residents can be found within the county of Sibenik-Knin. Constructed along the famous Krka river, Sibenik is set within the centre of Dalmatia region and is neighboured by Dubrava kod Sibenika.

The Cathedral of Saint Jacob is Sibenik's most popular and treasured historical building and is listed as an UNESCO World Heritage Site. Taking over a hundred years to begin construction with completion of the cathedral finally being completed in 1505. The detail of the interior of the Cathedral of Saint Jacob is something to behold and will surely take you back in time.
