The historical city of Porec which has been inhabited since prehistoric times is ideally set along the western side of Istrian Peninsula. Featuring a variety of architecture from Baroque to Romanesque to Gothic influences, Porec is the perfect place to visit with extremely friendly people and beautiful surroundings.

Porec is home to over seventeen thousand residents who enjoy wonderful weather conditions with over ten hours of sunlight during the summer months. One of Porec's most visited sites is the Euphrasian Basilica which has been listed as a World Heritage Site. While you are visiting the Basilica it would be impossible to notice the amazing displays of Byzantine art works that is a feature throughout.

A trip to Porec's Historical Town Centre should not be forgotten as this is where you will learn the most about the city's heritage. If your travelling to Porec via train the closest town is Pazin, while those who are flying the city of Pula is the closet gateway to Porec.
