Set within the county of Kotar along the south eastern bay of the island is the small historical town of Mali Losinj. Dating back to the 12th century Mali Losinj is one of Croatia's most popular holiday destinations because of its beautiful beaches and surroundings and historical buildings. Just one example of Mali Losinj historical buildings is the Church of Saint Martin which was originally built back in 1450.

Mali Losinj boasts many fascinating monuments and the towns museum is no exception. Set within The Tower that was built back in 1445 you are sure to learn many interesting facts about the island. If your more interested in the arts then a trip to the art gallery known as The Art Collection of Andro Vid and Katarina Mihicic and the Piperata Collection of Old Masters will be well worth your time.

You can get to Mali Losinj through a variety of means of transportation with buses arriving daily from Zagreb and Rijeka and a ferry that travels to the island once a week.
