Hvar

General Information about Hvar

Words cannot describe how beautiful and charming the island of Hvar is but suffice to say it is a rare jewel like no other. Magically set along the Dalmation coast within the Adriatic Sea, Hvar is the perfect setting for your holiday.

Home to over four thousand residents this historical island has been inhabited since Neolithic times. Hvar who is closely neighboured by the islands of Brac and Vis and boasts a harbour that houses some exquisite yachts and boats that add to the amazing atmosphere of the island.

Visiting the Cathedral of Saint Stephen is a must with its four stories and dating back to the 16th century.

Hvar features many historical sights that are worth visiting with the Town Square being one of the island's favourites. But it would have to be the fortress set a the top of the hill that is the main feature here with its extraordinary views of the harbour.

Getting to Hvar is easy with regular ferry's running from Split.
