General Information about Cres

Located within the Adriatic sea and the Kvarner Gulf is where you will find the island of Cres. Cres has been inhabited since Paleolithic times and belongs to the county of Primorje-Gorski. Home to over three thousand residents, Cres is easily accessible from the nearby Krk island.

Set along the Istrian Peninsula is the main town of the island which is also known as Cres. One of the main attractions of the town of Cres would have to be the Blue Flag beach. This well known blue flag can only be found in approximately thirty countries and is not easily awarded.

The atmosphere of Cres is very relaxed which makes it the perfect setting for escaping reality.
