Cavtat

General Information about Cavtat

Cavtat which is pronounced as Tsav-tat and was originally known as Epidaurus by its Greek residents. Home to over two thousand residents, within the county of Dubrovnik-Neretva along Zupa Bay. Cavtat who is neighboured by Dubrovnik is one of Croatia's most popular holiday destinations with its beautiful beaches.

While you are visiting Cavtat be sure to ask one of the locals about the legend of Princess Cavtislava who's father was the Epidaurian King Kordun. It is from Princess Cavtislava that many believe the towns new name originated from.
