General Information about Ostende

Ostende is ideally located along the Belgian Coast and is located just under half an hour away from the historical city of Bruges. Ostende was first settled as a village in the middle ages is now home to over 69,000 residents. Located within the Flemish Region the main language of the Ostende community is Dutch. Ostende is a popular holiday destination and is also a popular destination for day trips.

Apart from Ostende popular beaches and esplanade there are many other interesting sights to see while you are here. Your trip to Ostende would not be complete without visiting the Sint-Petrus-en-Pauluskerk which boasts Neo-Gothic architecture. The façade of this building will take your breath away as it is 72 metres in height and 30 metres wide.
