Located just under an hour from Salzburg in the state of Upper Austria is the spa town of Bad Ischl. Bad Ischl which is set at an elevation of 1,536 feet is home to over fourteen thousand residents.

Bad Ischl is visited by many because of its fantastic health spas and relaxing environment. Bad Ischl is well known for being where the Emperor signed the declaration of war in 1914 with Serbia. These historical documents were signed in the Emperor's home known as Kaiservilla. While you are visiting Bad Ischl it is possible to visit the grounds of this historical home, however entry is not permitted.
