General Information about Andorra
Andorra is a principality on the border of Spain and France. It has a population of 75000 with its capital city being Andorra la Vella and its official language is Catalan. Andorra has experienced a considerable growth in tourism since World War Two.
Andorra is well known for its ski fields where it has a total of 282 km of pistes with a large number of mechanical lifts and with its many snow cannons, Andorra has a ski season from the beginning of December until the end of April.
Many of Andorra's accommodation places have special tourist classifications from hotels to mountain huts to satisfy a wide variety of needs. Andorra is also rich in mineral springs, rich in sulphur and has the largest thermal spa in Southern Europe at Caldea. Many of Andorra's hotels also provide thermal spas for their guests.

The official language is Catalan as well as Spanish, French and Portuguese. Andorra has several high mountain valleys with highways linking the country to Spain and France with Andorra la Vella as the most important city and capital. Skiing is popular and Andorra has become a booming travel destination.
